Masaaki Ikeda is a founding principal architect of Urbanscope (Australia) Pty. Ltd., Sydney  and has over 35 years of experience in architectural design in Australia. He is also a founding architect for  Urbanscope Vietnam Architects, Hanoi in Vietnam established in 2007and extensively travelling in South East Asia countries over last 10 years.

Since he has been qualified as an architect in N.S.W. in 1979, he has worked in many type of architectural projects and obtained an unparalleled depth of experience in Architectural Design and Project Managements, Master Planning for the concept design of residential, commercial, industrial, tourism, retail, educational and religious, community projects in multi-cultural society in Australia. His competencies include innovative design solutions, collaborative skills with other professionals and realization skills of the architectural projects.

Born in Japan and living in a multi-cultural society of Sydney over 40 years and with many architectural study tours around world, he has developed his international skills of cross-cultural understanding and has lead him to projects in South East countries like Vietnam, China & Tongan Communities in Australia and overseas.

He is currently the Managing Director of Urbanscope (Australia) Pty. Ltd. and the Managing Director of Urbanscope Vietnam Architects. He holds a Master of Urban Planning from University of Sydney and B. Arch from Waseda University, Tokyo. He is Nominated Architect Registration No. 4045 NSW and Member of Royal Australian Institute of Architect (RAIA).
